Brigitte was born about 1228 in Wittenberg, the daughter of Albrecht I von Sachsen and Agnes von Thüringen.

She died on 23 DEC 1287 in Danmark.

Her husband was Johann I von Brandenburg, who she married on 7 MAY 1255. The place has not been found. Their four known children were Heinrich I (1256-1318), Agnes (1257-1304), Mechtild (1257-<1284) and Hermann (?-1291).
